One visit to the Avondrood “Kliphuis” will redefine your understanding of peace, tranquillity and unspoiled natural beauty. The unsurpassed viewpoint of the vast patchworks of winelands stretching out into the far corners of the Breede River Valley, framed by the magnificent Boland mountains, makes this two-storey getaway built from natural stone a little piece of heaven on earth.
The main grape varieties on the farm include sauvignon blanc, viognier, chardonnay, chenin blanc, shiraz, pinotage and cabernet sauvignon. Weiser Riesling, pinot gris and malbec are of the more recent varieties that were planted.
